A Rocking Winter Park Fashion Show
When we think of Fashion Week we always think of the Big Apple and Bryant Park, but for those that are on Park Avenue, Fashion Week always means a little bit more.
On the 30th October this year the fifth annual Luma Fashion Fete was held and the theme for this year was the theme was ‘Day of the Dead’
Luma is on Park Avenue and is a Winter Park restaurant, which held this luxury fashion experience produced by Jane Layne Events. The event hosted two high end fashion shows, dancing, live entertainment, gourmet food and hand crafted cocktails.
The owner of Fused Fashion, Tammara Kohler was the stylist for the fashion shows, where models walked down the runway in high fashion and gothic inspired designs.
The idea behind the Luma Fashion Fete is to showcase local brands and designers from the Central Florida community.
The Luma Fashion Fete which is always a sell out coincides with Park Avenue Fashion Week that is held from the 25th of October for seven days. The Park Avenue Fashion Week features trunk shows, parties and exclusive sales in the build up to their runway show that was on the 1st of November.
One of the main goals of the Park Avenue Fashion Week is to find up coming designers and college students that are aiming to be designers. They compete in a Project Runway type of competition, where the five finalists have the chance to show their work on the runway in the finale show.
Park Avenue Fashion week has been going for the past eight years and the coordinator of the show, Michelle Marks wants to show off what Park Avenue has on offer and to gain awareness for the area from the bars to the boutiques.
There are many people involved in putting together this glorious event and to make sure that it is a memorable experience for all.
