Celebrities always have the ability to grab our attention, so no wonder more actors, musicians and pop culture icons are replacing runway models for designer label advertisement and pushing these labels to the masses. So who are these new faces?

Here is a look at the faces of new 2015 spring and summer campaigns.


Nicki Minaj for Roberto Cavalli

Nicki Minaj who is a tenacious rapper is remixing her skills and has become the new face of Roberto Cavalli’s upcoming ad campaign. In the designers safari inspired dress, the 32 year old appears to be effortlessly sexy whilst remaining modest and it was her infamous curves that gave her the gig. Her hair resembles that of a modern day Cleopatra.

The designer said that he chose Nicki Minaj because she embraces the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. He also said that the aim of this campaign was to counter trend and show a woman that is not afraid to show her curves, instead of hide them.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for Balmain

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are notorious for publicity and now they are the new faces of the French label, Balmain campaign. Olivier Rousteing, who is the creative director, also gave the couples 18 month old daughter, North three custom made Balmain jackets back in November. Rousteing said that the couple is style icons and together show love, beauty and diversity.

Obviously the moody look of West and the blank stare of Kim work for the brand.

Julia Roberts for Givenchy

Julia Roberts may have a stern look in the campaign, but she is always being the Pretty Woman. The beautiful actress was shot in black and white with an air of confidence, appeal and beauty.

The creative director Riccardo Tisci decided to give this star studded actress a more serious, pure and intellectual look, which is a new way to see Julia Roberts. She appeared in the ad with a sheer top paired with a menswear inspired jacket.

Madonna for Versace

Madonna is 56, but as far as Versace is concerned she is aging well. She first appeared for this couture house in 1995, then returned in 2005 and a decade later she is back again.

In this new ad campaign, Madonna poses like a broken doll in a little black dress with her muscular arms and that is all she needs.
